ven from a distance, the Mulsanne is unmistakeably a Bentley. Its
looks steeped in history, tradition and breeding – yet with an array
of modern, even futuristic, touches – place the car firmly in the 21st
century. The headlamps, for example, feature LED lights all round their
outer edge which provide dipped beams, while also shedding light on
Bentley's attention to up-to-the-minute detailing.
The whole front end of the car is in many ways an homage to the face of
the classic 1950s S2. Its radiator surround, (in your choice of body-colour
or chrome) retains that classical shape, while the chrome matrix of the grille
itself harks back to decades of sporting heritage. Sitting atop that radiator, if
you choose, (it's optional but I'd certainly specify it), is the beautifully
sculpted 'Flying B' mascot that has graced some of the most beautiful and
desirable cars of the century. As recognisable and evocative as the Rolls Royce
'
Spirit Of Ecstasy', it is the perfect finishing touch and a symbol of the grace
and style of a bygone age.
As your gaze moves from that nose along those elegant wings, you can't help
but notice the sweeping vents made from cast, polished stainless steel,
cleverly emulating that iconic ‘Flying B’. Engraved with the Mulliner script,
their flowing lines contribute to an impression of speed and movement,
while the integrated black matrix grille provides a stylish contrast to the
polished stainless steel.
