British Polo Day has hosted 12 royal families and over 10,000
members of the global elite in the last 12 months.
Another focus is to ensure its international VIPs, partners and players
fully experience the culture and beauty each host country has to
offer. Most recently at British Polo day India, guests were invited to
enjoy an array of spectacular events with the exquisite hospitality of
the Maharaja of Jodphur. Guests enjoyed a royal polo gala in
Mumbai with a spectacular Philip Treacy and Beulah London
fashion showcase, a champagne cocktail reception on the sunset
terrace at the Umaid Bhawan Palace and danced the night away at
the Maharaja’s private Mehrangarh fort.
Despite being a British venture, the first British Polo Day in the UK
took place in July 2011. The event was held at Watership Down
estate, the home and private polo ground of Lord and Lady Lloyd
Webber, with players and an audience that included HRH Prince
Henry of Wales and HRH Prince Rashid of Jordan.
