LOUIS VUITTON MEN’S COLLECTION 2015 K im Jones, style director of Louis Vuitton’s men’s ready-to-wear division, has designed and worked for a number of companies including Mulberry, Alexander McQueen, Hugo boss and Iceberg. He has also contributed as stylist and art director for various magazines including Dazed & Confused and the New York Times T Style magazine; The Face placed him at number 20 on its list of the top 100 influential people in fashion. He joined the creative ranks of LV in 2011 and has turned out a number of successful menswear collections. Christopher Nemeth was always Kim Jones's favourite London designer. The way he mixed Savile Row and the street anticipated Jones's own aesthetic. This season via his autumn-winter 2015-16 collection he utilised the creative muscle of Louis Vuitton to salute the man who he singles out as the greatest influence on his own career. He dedicated and incorporated the artist Christopher Nemeth's work into every inch of his autumn-winter 2015 collection. "I think Christopher Nemeth is the most important designer to come out of London alongside Vivienne Westwood," said Jones in the opening sentence of the show notes for the collection. The designer's admiration wasn't lightly dusted into his menswear; it permitted every aspect of it. Jones even consulted Nemeth's widow and daughters on the details, choosing four original prints from Nemeth’s archives and reproducing them in various updated guises.
