2 7 2 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I On 26November, theMamohato Children’s Centre was officially opened by His Majesty King Letsie III at Thaba Bosiu, and Sentebale Founding Patrons Prince Harry and Prince Seeiso as over 200 international and local guests came together from across the world to celebrate the momentous occasion. The Mamohato Children’s Centre is the flagship facility that supports all of Sentebale’s work with vulnerable children in Lesotho. Named after His Majesty King Letsie III and Prince Seeiso’s mother, the late Queen Mamohato Bereng Seeiso, who was known as the Mother of the Nation, the centre will be used to hold a range of events and workshops to benefit vulnerable children. These will include hearing assessments for children with hearing disabilities, training workshops for organisations caring for vulnerable children, peer educator workshops and forums and, specifically, it will host camps delivering psychosocial support. The opening of the Mamohato Children’s Centre is a key milestone for Sentebale. It marks the progress made in the last ten years in supporting vulnerable children in Lesotho and highlights Sentebale’s plans for expansion, both in Lesotho and in other southern African countries. Guests including dignitaries, donors, trustees and Sentebale Ambassadors attended the event, which marked this key milestone for Sentebale. We enjoyed a full tour of the centre’s facilities, including the Get Well
