The team have been enjoying fame and fortune for a number of years, achieving a host of successes globally. Whether within the international racing season from April to September, or in the cooler climes of the UAE’s domestic season of October through to March, the team have developed a reputation of helping to champion any driver, of any level, through to victory in a safe and enjoyable luxurious environment. Gulf 12 Hour and Dubai 24 Hour Endurance Races Widely recognised as the region’s ‘blue ribbon’ endurance races, the Gulf 12 Hours, held at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi and the Dubai 24 Hours, held at the Dubai Autodrome, are both huge dates in Dragon Racing’s calendar. In the 2014 edition of the Gulf 12 Hour the three-man squad consisting of Mohammed Jawa, Jordan Grogor and SeanWalkinshaw (son of the late legendary British racing car driver TomWalkinshaw) celebrated a fine podium finish of third place in class. This year, the Dragon team will be competing again, welcoming back Frederic Fatien who will be joined by the experienced British pairing of John Hartshorne and Alex Kapadia – with another podium finish set firmly in their sights. Following a Dubai 24 Hour class win in 2014, Dragon Racing repeated that performance in 2015 and finished in a very creditable third overall position. Jordan Grogor and Mohammed Jawa were joined by the auspicious pair of Ferrari pro- driver Matt Griffin and Dragon’s Director of Racing, Rob Barff. In January 2016 Dragon Racing will head into the Dubai 24 Hours as defending champions of the A6-AM category of both 2014 and 2015. Aimed at racers of all levels – from keen amateurs through to the very best professional drivers – the desert classic is now globally established as the season-opening sports car race. The Dubai 24 Hours is considered by everyone within Dragon as their home race; the team are proud to represent the UAE and are determined to retain their title as they take on global sports car giants including BMW, Porsche, Lamborghini and McLaren in their pair of Ferrari 458 GT3s. This time the cars will be driven by Tiziano Carugati, Gino Forgione, Frederic Fatein and Jordan Grogor, as well as Alex Kapadia, John Hartshorne, Matt Griffin and Rob Barff. But the UAE racing scene runs much deeper than the two main endurance events. Dragon Racing are proud to run their own fleet of Ferraris and McLarens within the National Racing Series and in addition provide technical support and driver coaching to participants within the TRD Toyota GT86 Championship.
