Simply Abu Dhabi XI

people were moved to tell people about this meal. The fish was cooked just right, not underdone and with not a hint of dryness either, it was the optimum level and the flesh was so subtly flavoured it was irresistible. Arnie also crowned his lunch with fish but he selected the pan-seared hammour served with cherry tomatoes, capers, black olives and wine sauce. Similarly prepared with genuine expertise, the fish was gently flavoured and worked perfectly with the rich sauce and the powerful capers and olives. Aqua is one of those restaurants you could return to consistently at any time of the day and be confidently assured that you will enjoy a delicious meal. The dessert menu was certainly alluring but we opted for a delicious juice cocktail instead. My ‘Solare’ drink was a blend of carrot, orange, and ginger and a refreshing way to finish a glorious lunch. Arnie chose a ‘Fresco Kiwi’, which was a sweet and crisp combination of green apple, cranberry and mint. With ‘fresco’ in mind, it is worth remembering that outdoor lovers can enjoy al fresco dining at Aqua, as many tables are set up on the waterfront terrace. Aqua is also host to a lively artisan brunch every Friday, while Saturday is ‘Mia Grande Famiglia’ and is created for families and friends, with long tables of guests sharing Aqua’s delicious cuisine. 4 7 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I
