Fashioned from rose-gold watch, the watch retains Breguet’s self-winding 777 movement with a silicon escapement and balance spring, but the difference here is that when the button at 10 o'clock is pressed, or when a set time that you can program arrives, this Classique model plays Johann Sebastian Bach’s Badinerie, the final movement of his orchestral suite N°2 in B minor. If that achievement isn’t enough, whilst the music plays the centre of the platinum-plated engraved dial also spins for a full 25 seconds. The horological delight is operated by a mechanism similar to that of a musical box. Intense research and constant developments in acoustics at Breguet have resulted in materials that can produce the best sounds. The dial of the watch shows the hours, minutes and seconds in the centre, with a power-reserve indicator at 3 o'clock and a visible indicator that the melody is playing between 9 and 10 o'clock. Such a work of art has to be immaculately turned out. Which is why the hands in traditional blued steel are open-tipped in the widely known Breguet style. The dial is diamond-polished by hand to capture the light at different angles. This wonderful timepiece is delivered in a special box made of resonant alpine spruce, which is selected as the ideal tonewood by makers of stringed instruments and acts as a vibrant soundboard. Fortunately enough, this special type of wood is found in the Risoud forest in the Joux Valley where the Breguet Company is located.
