You can’t fail to be impressed by the grandeur of the surroundings and the scent of divinely delicious waffles that greeted us had our mouths watering in appreciation. When it comes to breakfast we like a good choice and boy, what a selection of delectable delights we were offered! While we perused the menu, the tasty grapefruit juice was the perfect appetiser. Cereals, breads, yoghurts, eggs, fruits and meats all vied competitively for the attention of our hunger. Hot, fragrant cappuccino provided the ideal wake-up call and set us up for the day ahead. Beautiful Buffets throughout the day The highly renowned international buffet menu isn’t just for breakfast. It offers a range of scrumptious delights for all day dining at its finest. Buffets and a la carte menus work well alongside each other so however small or huge your appetite, you’ll find something to satisfy it at Le Vendome. Sophisticated tables both inside and out provide an elegant environment for a refined dining experience. The fourth floor location provides incredible views over the beach and marina and we immensely enjoyed our delicious breakfast served on the impressive terrace. We were treated to a rich breakfast buffet that couldn’t fail to fuel us for the day. Tourists, families and business men alike seemed as appreciative of their morning meal as we were and if you’re not in a hurry to get up as you approach the weekend, you’ll still be in plenty of time to sample the popular Friday brunch. It’s all about the eggs and for us the eggs Benedict were truly divine. The mushrooms and tomatoes were beautifully plump and bursting with flavour. Our only complaint would be that with muffins, croissants, strudels and beautifully presented breads all tempting our taste buds, it was difficult to decide what to go for to accompany that lovely second cup of coffee! Exceptional international fare It’s easy to see why an equally extensive international buffet or an à la carte menu is tempting to discernible lunch and dinner diners in search of real tasty food. Fresh seafood is popular and our fellow diners were keen to recommend the dinner menu to us and told us they’d advise booking in advance as it can get pretty busy. We could easily imagine the ambience that would be created during the evening as diners tucked into dinner whilst appreciating the breathtaking views from the outdoor terrace. For us, breakfast had truly whetted our appetite. With 70 seats inside and 65 on the extensive outdoor terrace, Le Vendome is ready to serve guests exceptional food in an elegant setting and we were served in style. Breakfast is served from 6.30am to 11am, lunch from 12.30pm to 3,30pm and dinner from 6pm to 11pm, so internationally inspired fine fare can be enjoyed throughout the day. The celebrated brunch is available from 12.30pm to 3.30pm every Friday. With so many first rate restaurants for us to sample during our stay at the Emirates Palace Hotel our first breakfast had increased our expectations of the culinary week ahead.
