Madame Tussauds London’s visitors are sent on a unique, emotionally-charged journey
through the realms of the powerful and famous. The museum-style ropes and poles have
gone, allowing guests to truly get up, close and personal with A-list celebrities, sporting
legends, political heavyweights and historical icons, reliving the times, events and
moments that made the world talk about them….
Around 500 million people have visited Madame Tussauds London since it was first
established – that’s more than the population of North America and Australia combined!
With 14 zones and the new Marvel Super Heroes 4D movie experience, Madame
Tussauds London combines glitz and glamour with incredible history and over 300 wax
So, who do you want to meet?
You can have your picture taken alongside A - list celebrities like Drew Barrymore,
Orlando Bloom, Nicole Kidman and Leonardo DiCaprio.
For something a little scarier try visiting the Chamber gallery where serial killers lurk.
The music zone represents legends of pop from Bob Marley through to current chart
toppers Kylie and Justin Timberlake. ‘Sexyback’ pop singer Justin Timberlake gets more
hugs than any other figure, and the dry cleaning bill for his super sharp white Savile Row
suit proves it! That said, the yearly cost of maintaining the entire Madame Tussauds
wardrobe would cover Justin’s bill for the next 30 years! While the most kissed female
figure is pop princess Kylie Minogue, now in her fourth incarnation. Visitors are also
encouraged to try out their own dance moves to see if they can win an award.
The figure of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan was the first ever to receive a proposal
of marriage. A passionate female fan travelled down from Bradford shortly after ‘King
Khan’s’ launch in April 2007 just to present his double with a diamond engagement ring.
She’s still waiting for an answer….

Touted as “London’s favourite tourist attraction”, the statues at Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum have
been thrilling visitors since Tussaud opened her first permanent exhibit in 1835. Madame Tussauds is
a major tourist attraction located in Central London. It is renowned for recreating famous people, or
celebrities, in wax. It is the original Madame Tussauds attraction, having been situated on Marylebone
Road since 1884. It was set up by wax sculptor Marie Tussaud.
