Established in partnership with the world-famous US Cleveland Clinic, who will manage and operate the facility, the clinic is not only set to be the most progressive medical facility in the Middle East boasting cutting- edge technology, but will also be the largest non-industrial steel structure in the region. In keeping with Aldar’s firm commitment to environmental preservation and sustainability, the project is aiming to achieve LEED Gold Certification, and includes a double skin facade to help designed to aid the building’s energy performance in Abu Dhabi’s climate. The inner layer of this unusual double-skin facade is already being put in place. Other environmental measures include the recycling of condensated water which will also be used for irrigation. The HVAC system has been designed to circulate 100% fresh air to aid in reduce the spread of infections.
