2 0 0 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I S IMPLY CARS By Andy Whi t e FirstAmongEquals I n my humble opinion, I have the answer to that question. And that answer comes in the shape of the brand new Range Rover Sport. For years the name Range Rover has been synonymous with the ultimate in driveability, performance and luxury both on and off-road and this latest model increases the gap between the best and the rest further still. Of course the previous Range Rover Sport was always going to be a tough act to follow. How can you improve a car that many considered to be pretty near to perfection already? A good question. And one that Andrew Polsinelli, Land Rover North America's head of product planning, put to the best source of knowledge available, existing Range Rover owners. Their answer was a unanimous, "Don't change it, just make it better." Looking at the car, it would seem that Andrew took them at their word. Let's start with looks, in fact. At first glance, there's no disguising that this is every inch a Range Rover, but look a little closer and you'll see a number of significant changes in the car's physical appearance. The bluff front end of the previous model has been softened with more curves Lately, in the field of four wheel drive vehicles, SUVs, Off Roaders, call them what you will, there's never been a bigger range of makes and models vying for your attention. They all promise adventure and performance, most promise luxury too. But can there really be one vehicle that provides all of those desirable attributes in one package?
