5 8 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I E ntering Sayad you instinctively get the sense of the sea. The interior design has been deftly curated to be evocative of the ocean. Cool blue lights flood the space, which seats around 100 people, with the option of staying inside in the cool and contemporary surroundings or stepping outside to dine under the stars and with a view of the water. There are also two private dining rooms seating up to 10 guests but we decided to stay inside in the super cool atmosphere of the main room. Sayad translates from Arabic as fisherman and the restaurant specialises in the very finest fruits of a fisherman’s labours. This is the Emirates Palace principal seafood restaurant and so accordingly the finest quality and freshness is guaranteed. We sat with a great view out over the marina and the hotel’s white sandy beach and enjoyed a refreshing mocktail while we perused the variety of delights on the menu.
