Simply Abu Dhabi XI

2 5 1 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I The electric motor is coupled to a double-clutch gearbox, which in turn drives the rear wheels in conjunction with the conventional engine. This all adds up to really blistering performance with acceleration figures of 0- 62mph in under three seconds, 0 to 124mph in less than seven, and to 186mph in just 15 seconds. Truly stunning performance that makes LaFerrari five seconds faster than even the Enzo around Ferrari’s Fiorano test track. With a top speed of over 217mph it’s Ferrari’s fastest ever road car, assuring its position as the Supercar all others need to chase. Of course there’s more than an electric motor running this car. It really wouldn’t be wise to overlook the conventional combustion engine Ferrari has blessed this car with. Naturally, it’s a V12. Not just any old V12 of course, this truly mind-blowing 6.3-litre engine has the same capacity as the powerhouse you’d find in the front-engined Ferrari F12, but here it’s been substantially reworked exclusively for LaFerrari’s mid-engined layout. Power has gone up from the F12’s 730bhp at 8250rpm, to 789bhp produced at an incredible 9000rpm. It goes beyond even that, this V12 will keep revving to 9250rpm. Peak torque is 516lb ft at 6750rpm.
