1 1 1 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I A nother superstar attendee at the spectacular opening of The Galleria on Al Maryah Island – Abu Dhabi’s new premier fashion and shopping destination – was the immensely popular football icon Zinédine Zidane. Visiting the capital to attend the grand opening of IWC’s new boutique, Zidane also launched IWC’s exceptional fundraising event benefiting Special Care Centre. This volunteer charity has been providing education to intellectually and physically challenged children in the capital since 1989 and hosts children from 14 nations. The French national spent a day with the children from Special Care Centre, treating them to an exciting football match. Following this, IWC committed itself to donating 10 per cent of all its sales from the brand’s new boutique at The Galleria for ten days after opening. IWC Schaffhausen’s Brand Director Middle East & India, Karoline Huber, commented on the joint venture saying,“We applaud Special Care Centre for the work they have been doing since 1989.
