And has there been a lot happening! Of course, practically the Who’s who in Entertainment and Business came to town to enjoy the greatest show on earth… the Formula One race at Yas Marina Circuit was a smash success yet again. Many of those in the sport consider this leg of the world tour to be one of the very best. It’s surely hard to top in terms of sheer entertainment value and quality of facilities. When the cars weren’t tearing around the world-class Yas Marina Circuit, two of the biggest global superstars provided entertainment for the fans – Jay Z and Rihanna, who both brought the house down and contributed to an electric F1 atmosphere that infused the city. And after the concerts there was still the ultra exclusive after-party event that is the Amber lounge… too much fun. The city also celebrated the official launch of the new premier shopping and dining destination The Galleria, which was attended by His Royal Highness, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces who was accompanied by both The King of Morocco and His Excellency Khaldoon Al Mubarak. It was a fitting affair for what will be one of the capital’s best luxury, dining and entertainment destinations. HisHighness SheikhNahyanBinMubarak AlNahyan,Minister ofHigher Education and Scientific Research, was also present at another premium event, the Coutts Polo at the Palace, held at the incomparable Emirates PalaceHotel as part of theCity Polo Series. This was another triumph and evidence that the ‘Game of Kings’ is appealing to a wider audience all the time. We also present to you the work of the outstanding visual artist Beno Saradzic, whose incredible photography of cityscapes in the UAE need to be seen. His images show a rarely seen side of the city, which is a pleasure to absorb. This ismerely a hint at the contents of this issue, as always we have the expert’s opinion on the latest launches of luxury cars, haute horlogerie, jewellery, beauty, fashion, travel and much more.
