In a staggering new campaign for the fashion house, creative director Karl Lagerfeld photographed Cara Delevigne and Saskia De Braw for a bold series of adverts. ‘Roman Skyline’, features the fierce supermodels in statement pieces against a breathtaking backdrop of Rome. The 3D embroidered fur pieces look incredible. “For our 2013-2014 fall/winter season, we sought to celebrate the love between Fendi and Rome with a very feminine campaign evoking a chic and modern Roman holiday,” said Lagerfeld. Fendi is known for furs. The FF insignia originally stood for Fun Furs back in the Sixties but somehow became the corporated logo. Lagerfeld, who has been at the helm for a staggering 96 collections, restored the original sense of the logo with a brave collection of furs offset by graphic, striking separates.
