Boucheron is a French family dynasty founded by Frederic Boucheron in 1858. The Maison has ceaselessly appealed to the most discerning clientele, drawing them in with the world’s most beautiful and precious jewellery creations. Boucheron takes much of its jewellery inspiration from the natural world, notably in two new offerings this year: the one-of-a-kind falcon pendant, and the updated Serpent Bohème collection. In addition, the esteemed Maison introduces a bold new interpretation of its contemporary classic Quatre collection, with Radiant Edition Quatre. Turning our attention first to something close to our hearts: Boucheron’s one-of-a-kind falcon pendant, created especially for the UAE. This very special fine jewellery piece, available only in the Emirates, celebrates the falcon, which has long been associated with the Gulf region, especially the UAE. A symbol of courage, the majestic bird that adorns the nation’s emblem is here rendered as a pendant in white gold, featuring three fancy onyx gems totalling 2.35 carats; 113 round sapphires totalling 4.74 carats; and 122 round diamonds totalling 2.59 carats. It’s exquisite by any standards, but certainly will take on special significance for those of us with love and respect for the history and heritage of the UAE.
