Shoes that deliver an interpretation of leathers reach peaks of unprecedented virtuosity: exquisite hand- cladded calfskin and hand-distressed crocodile leather, available also in a combined version, are the protagonists of the collection with the depth of their texture and the extraordinary use of chiaroscuro sprung from the wonders of craftsmanship. Once again, a blend of contrasts, masculine and feminine, bright and dark, modern and handcrafted, finds its own impeccable definition of style. Winter nature sets the tone for the colour palette: plum and Atlantic cold shades, a strong infusion of cocoa brown, amber and copper, or more essential tones of black and dark grey. In the range of bags, sophisticated linear shapes meet the extremely rich and textured materials, perfect elements to maintain the structure of the bags without any stiffness. Luxury is evident in the harmonious fusion of iconic details and exquisite quality skins modelled with the finest craftsmanship, also inspired by the allure of men’s tailoring. This season’s palette echoes the ready-to-wear collection: elegant variations of cocoa brown and amber, copper red and a hint of avocado green, cool plum and the impeccable neutrality of black. The Gancio, the iconic shape of the Maison, is an integral element of the collection. Whether in its bold or macro version, it’s always differently reinterpreted and coated with golden glares of Giove finishing. It is echoed on the palmellato calf leather bandolier bag, the adjustable shoulder strap bag, and extends throughout the line. The Fiamma – the iconic semi-spherical handbag – features a pocket closed by a lock that recalls the Gancio icon. It takes shape this season in black crocodile; a combination of pony and cladded calfskin; or cladded palmellato calfskin enhanced with a further precious detail – a silk lining depicting a foulard print of the 70s from the Salvatore Ferragamo archives. The new foulards collection presents a world of refined elegance in which the guiding motifs are a lush jungle and its exotic fauna – iconic themes of Ferragamo’s, reinvented with new creativity. This season’s shawls, stoles and scarves turn to contemporary abstract art and the work of Scottish artist Callum Innes. The pictorial technique of drip painting recreates an unusual spotted effect, as the flames of colours generate unique and vibrant shades. A wide array of models and structures characterises the new line of jewellery. A sophisticated collection of necklaces, rings and bracelets, created through fusion and metal casting, unite the worlds of art and sculptural techniques in a testimony of extraordinary craftsmanship. The collection was designed in collaboration with Daniela Villegas, a jewellery designer inspired by the beautiful changes of nature and the intricacy of human interaction. Villegas views life as a playground, a constant blur of colours – a perspective that can be seen in her designs. Her colourful expressions are particularly crafted with the utmost detail and designed with the intention to spread joy and happiness in every piece.
