Throughout this line, grey in all its aspects – from the softest dove grey, to warm graphite, to the strongest steel – can be seen in relaxed trousers, knitwear, leather bags and accessories, and, most notably, in the jackets. An Armani jacket is more than just a jacket, however. It’s a concept of style and behaviour. It’s an anatomical study that reworks the emblem of the Armani universe, bringing an evolutionary element to tradition. After the comfortable deconstructed jacket of the 70s with its big shoulders, the jacket is now becoming more like the classic cardigan, borrowing from knitwear, with its raglan shoulders and sculpted torso. The result is an athletic male silhouette with a spirit of thoughtfulness. To achieve the effect, special processes such as rough cutting have been used, as well as thermo-adhesives and linings. Generally, fabrics with a warm and comfortable feel have been chosen; fabrics that are less rigid and more agile.
