Big Bang Broderie W ith this uniquely dazzling watch, Hublot connects the past with the future, combining respect for Swiss tradition with 21st-century creativity and technology. This is a principle dear to the brand, and in the case of the Broderie watch, the result is a gorgeous, glamorous ode to the ultimate in femininity. Irresistible fine embroidery has historically been considered the most romantic and feminine of materials. The creation of broderie requires a savoir-faire and mastery of this subtle and painstaking art. Hublot revisit the grand arts and crafts tradition in its own distinctive way, here paying homage to the memory of traditional needlework with this fine St. Gallen embroidery – an ancestral art which is 100% Swiss Made – created by Bischoff, the leading Swiss maison in the art of broderie. This prestigious firm supplies the biggest names in haute couture with its luxury textiles and is world-renowned as a master of the craft. And now, the creative teams from both companies have come together to develop an exclusive pattern that will create a fusion with the Big Bang's iconic design. It shows a subtly rebellious spirit, with its skull pattern on a dial studded with 11 diamonds, and soft arabesques on the bezel and strap – a technical feat that took several months of research & development to achieve. After the embroidered elements produced in St. Gallen were delivered to Hublot in the Swiss canton of Vaud, the watchmakers developed a process akin to the manufacture of high-tech carbon fibre components. The elements embroidered on tulle are encased and moulded – like a stack of sheets – in carbon fibre to amplify the texture. The process is new and exclusive to Hublot. The delicate and unusual ladies' timepiece is for connoisseurs, featuring an HUB1110 automatic mechanical movement crafted of 63 components and 21 jewels, with a 42-hour power reserve. The Big Bang Broderie, the ultra- feminine watch featuring the most delicate details, is available in three versions: gold, silver, or all black, studded with black diamonds. A first in watchmaking and the start of a wonderful story by Hublot. 1 2 5 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I
