Add to that increased performance, and Zonda really have created a hyper version of what’s already a hypercar. Is there such a thing as a hyperhypercar? Well, maybe we’ve just discovered one. Obviously supercars like this never come in great numbers, but the Revolucion you see on these pages is one of just five that will ever be made, with number five destined to grace the Geneva Motor Show before being delivered to its lucky owner. Just cast your eyes over the Revolucion, and it’s plain that this is a car built for serious business. Air ducts, wings, deflectors, more wings and acres of carbon fibre stretch across the exterior of the Zonda Revolucion, giving it the appearance of a vehicle ready to scream into battle. Low-slung, stealthy and sinister, the car positively exudes menace, almost challenging even the most casual observer to take it on. Up front, the massive air dam seems to hover above the ground, with what appears to be just centimetres separating it from the tarmac, while two equally huge air intakes sit just above. Alongside and directly forward of the front wheels are four winglets that, while helping generate downforce, also add yet more drama to the whole affair. Another large air scoop runs along each of the lower sides of the car, feeding air to behind the rear tyres, increasing stability and aiding in the cooling process. Just behind the substantial rear tyres are yet more winglets and, between them at the car’s tail, sits an air diffuser that looks around the size of a small family saloon.
