Mother-to- be Bianca Balti, six months pregnant, was a high point of the event. Dolce and Gabbana claim working alongside these mothers, these matriarchs of family, changed their perspective on femininity, and just what it means to women. There were 88 looks in total, as well as the finale, in an event reveal that shined a spotlight on true creativity, with new shapes, embroideries, prints and collage. With this collection, Dolce & Gabbana are championing the idea than mothers are more than that; they are also women, managers, embodying different figures and roles beyond the matriarchal, and with each role, their outfits change and adapt.
