The strong identity of the Dolce & Gabbana brand has evolved over the years while always remaining faithful to its inherent standards. An unmistakable style, the expression of unconventional luxury which, season after season, combines strong innovation with the powerful Mediterranean flavour of its origins. A brand whose essence lies in its contrasting features. The founders, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, have always been the creative and stylistic source of all the brand’s activities, as well as the drivers behind the development strategies based on balanced growth on a global scale and focus on the core business. So, the latest collection to come from the Italian kings of fashion was possibly a little unexpected, but when combined with the women and children’s collections celebrating the importance of family, it suddenly becomes less of an out of the blue surprise. Dolce and Gabbana are honouring the family unit with their three autumn/winter collections, the essential paragons of the mother and father caring for their children. When the curtains opened for the reveal in Milan, we saw eight real families, consisting of friends and colleagues of the designers themselves, in a wonderful tableau of the true celebration of family.
