E xclusivity comes in all shapes and forms in the automotive world. More often than not, exclusivity takes the form of rounded edges, a broad and proud front-end, and gravitas measured not by a ruler but rather on the Richter scale. Think Rolls-Royce, for example. Although undeniably attractive, with sumptuous bright-work and supple leather interiors, Rolls-Royces aren’t the only elite runabouts in the world. In fact, they’re just the tip of the iceberg. For there is something altogether rarer and more imposing stalking the streets. It’s the limited-run 2016 Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce (SV). And with its gargantuan rear wing, sharp front-end, and deafening roar that pours from its exhaust, it is perhaps the brashest example of exclusivity on the planet. Simply being shouty and rare alone, however, doesn’t necessarily a good car make. So to find out if its bellowing bark was half as good as its bite, I went to the Circuit de Catalunya just outside of Barcelona, Spain to toss the new Lamborghini through some Formula 1-worthy bends.
