His collection is a hyper homage to Moschino circa the 1980s – cocktail frocks and promdresses in black velvet boasting pink and blue explosions of fabric. Gold bustiers, baggy short combinations, patchwork denim jackets and basketball dresses were accessorised with layers of chunky gold slogan chains capturing Scott’s nostalgia/junk vibe perfectly. It calls to mind the bear dress created by Franco Moschino for the autumn/winter 1988 collection, except that in this collection the bear makes its presence known in a plethora of different ways via its own capsule collection. The bear appears on hoodies, prints, bags, accessories and as the new perfume, Toy (the bottle of which comes as a cuddly toy bear). Since his appointment at the house, Scott has injected a serious dose of fun and wit through his penchant for pop culture and kitsch, amplifying it to the max and joining its heritage dots to now.
