He does not look back – he is really confident in the future." Christian Dior himself was a visionary. Beginning with his first collection in 1947 he rewrote the rules of modern elegance and imposed his own style on the entire world. He brought women his vision of beauty and happiness, and he showed unprecedented creative originality. It is not surprisingly, therefore, that somebody with Kris Van Assche’s distinct creative talent was enlisted as artistic director for Dior Homme. He is very clear on who he is designing his menswear collections for and what he aims to achieve through those collections: “It’s about loosening up the tailoring, making it more comfortable. And similarly, it's about making leisure wear with more chic.”
