9 4 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I T he prodigious Swiss-born watchmaker Franck Muller was a star graduate of theGeneva School ofWatchMaking and built an immediate reputation as a master restorer, with collectors from all corners of the globe and the most respected auction houses seeking his talents. The evolution into the Maison Franck Muller was inevitable and in 1983 he presented his first collection of wristwatches. Each watch featured a complicated movement that Muller created, trusting in the worldwide fascination and demand for exceptional wristwatches. Every year since then Muller has succeeded in launching a new World Premiere, culminating in his befitting moniker – the Master of Complications. The latest in a long line of collections and exceptional timepieces is the Grande Date Collection. Six models in blue, red and black are housed in a tonneau case with the FranckMuller ‘tenor curvex’ design to seamlessly sit on the wrist. This newwatch in on trend as it features open-working on the semi- skeletonised dial. Visible on this distinct watch is a circular chronograph, a minute counter at 3 o'clock, a second counter at 9 o'clock and a big date that gives the watch its title at 7:30.
