Co-President and Artistic Director Caroline Scheufele insisted on the diversification and under her stewardship Chopard has been going from strength to strength, with successions of powerful collections crafted par excellence. Clothing and high-end jewellery make easy bedfellows, sharing the same creative fundamentals, so it was a short leap when Chopard joined the Fédération Française de la Couture in January 2015 as a jewellery member, and its jewellery artisans seem to be imbued with the same delicate genius as the ‘petites mains’ (literally – little hands, the name given to its talented seamstresses). Early this year the fashion house Chopard showcased its latest gemstone collections at the Paris Haute Couture week. A cascade of lace-like colour stood out in the signature necklace where colourful gemstones ripple effortlessly between carefully graded stones in shades of pink and blue. The house has opted for a titanium setting, chosen not only for its lightness but also for its adaptability to a broad prism of colours, matching the majority if not all of the colours in the set and magnifying their brilliance.
