At the centre, nestled on a bed of gems curving like features, stands a superlative 14-carat pear-shaped tanzanite. Three bracelets form part of the same collection, each calling on a different design inspiration. The first uses topazes, Paraiba tourmalines and amethysts in a celebration of spring, butterfly emblems sitting on studded titanium flora. Although calling it a bracelet is underselling it: in an original twist, butterflies may be detached from the bracelet to become a pair of earrings or brooch. The second uses an interlaced, lightweight sequence of titanium and white gold to support a pattern of sapphires, emeralds, popular Paraiba tourmalines and amethysts, while in the third a series of flowers are fashioned from sapphires and Paraiba tourmalines, set with diamond petals. Drop earrings in the collection are a vivid green colour, as if to match the verdant natural theme, and feature a surprising sculpted jade alongside emeralds and diamonds. But it’s the Fleurs d’Opales ring that we truly covet. Launched in July 2015, this is the latest release in the collection and features a heavenly opal at the centre of a titanium and white-gold structure, with dazzling, gem-set petals unfurling around it. Underneath, a green band set with emeralds completes the floral tribute. 1 0 9 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I
