Meanwhile a series of impeccably cut single- and double-breasted tuxedos featured tuxedo trousers with a drop crotch brought a breezy Eastern feel. Tie-dye seeps through this collection like desert haze camouflage on flowing headscarves, suits, and twinset long-length cardigans and sweaters. Sequin sweaters of desert foliage have been dip-dyed, one remaining the original white at the shoulders. They're perfect for evening, worn with roomy pants folded down like a less formal, innovative cummerbund. Street-style influences such as silk- jersey headscarves, aviator glasses and fez caps protect from the sun whilst bringing an urban vibe to the desert. Footwear includes woven leather sandals and updated brogues, while bags in raffia or coloured leather proudly display the golden Versace Medusa. If indeed no man needs nothing, then every man needs something and, from this collection, it appears the Versace man is very much looking to the East. In the words of Donatella Versace herself, "The Versace man is an adventurer in where he travels and what he wears. This is a collection for brave men who are pioneers in every part of their lives."
