Well, that is probably overstating the point, but the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Master Chronometer 600m, ostensibly targeted at women, would look suitably sharp on men who can pull off a small watch. And as with all things, fashions move in cycles and at some point soon the already dissipating trend for oversized watches will give way to smaller watches. I’d certainly be happy to wear this 39.5mm timepiece and it could be considered more of a unisex release. Aside from a new size this timepiece features a new movement, used for the first time in the Planet Ocean collection, and also a brand newmaterial. The 18-carat Sedna™Gold (Omega’s own alloy for a more scratch-resistant pink gold that does not discolour) makes a bold debut and is perfectly matched with a rich chocolate ceramic dial and bezel. Omega have cannily blended two of Switzerland’s most-famed exports: chocolate and fine watchmaking.
