Accordingly, the starting point is the humble yet perfect Galet – the French word for pebble. Pebbles have been used as decorative objects since time immemorial, with examples of their appearance in art, architecture and other artistic forms evidenced in numerous civilisations. If the pun may be excused, the core touchstones of the Galet Collection are simplicity, purity and smoothness – all of which are evocative of tranquillity and calm. The heart of this sparkling eye-catcher is an automatic movement, referenced 3000 H SC Galet; it has Côtes de Genève and circular graining decoration and is diamond polished. The functions are kept simple with hours, minutes and seconds, and a date aperture is neatly positioned at 6 o’clock. The watch boasts an impressive 42-hour power reserve and the dial is a stunning sun- stamped lacquered dial with the options of black or white Arabic or Roman numerals.
