Whilst there are many guises, the humble hair dryer has yet to really have a make-over. Until now. Dyson, the company behind so many incredible machines, has decided to look to the beauty world and give it a shake-up. Mastering the home and office, it's a natural progression to branch out into the personal styling tools that require such precision and excellence. It's almost worth asking, what took them so long?! Well, time and precision was exactly what Dyson needed. Not to be rushed, re-inventing the hair dryer was something not to be taken lightly. With the world waiting in anticipation to see what they came out with, in the end there were no disappointments with the Supersonic. James Dyson, inventor and head of the Dyson empire, exclaims, "With our digital motor, we changed vacuuming, and then hand drying. Now we're changing haircare." Ergonomically designed, as you would expect, the Supersonic has its motor in the handle, therefore shifting the weight from the head to the base. This makes the balance instantly more comfortable for the user, shifting the centre of gravity and making it easier to dry hair and create your style. Air flows through the Supersonic at an incredible 105mph. This is what Dyson call their Air Multiplier™ technology. The three attachments that come with the dryer – two nozzles and one diffuser – are all easily applied with a magnetic fastening, rather satisfying to add and remove. Numerous expert engineers and technicians have masterminded the design of the Supersonic, and in conjunction with four-time BritishHairdresser of the Year, Akin Konizi, they've created a unique device.
