If you’re after something a little unusual, you can rent a sand board and slide down giant dunes, or try your eye at archery. Little Harvey had the time of his life on a traditional animal experience where he got to meet and pet some local fauna. As a personal favourite of mine, the resort also lets you go fat biking, where you can explore the awe-inspiring beauty of the Liwa Desert aboard a bicycle that can be ridden on the sand dunes. Taking to the golden sand dunes was a truly adrenaline-packed experience across the endless rugged landscape. The gently curving slopes and pleasant weather made it perfect for me as a beginner, with more adventurous trails for experienced riders. Jordana and I took delight in discovering the science of Arabian gastronomy with an Anantara Spice Spoons cooking class – an interactive experience that immersed us in the colourful local culture and traditional heritage of Middle Eastern cuisine. We relished in attempting to master Arabian cuisine’s distinctive flavour balance as master chefs taught us to cook a series of authentic dishes. We cannot wait to share our wonderful memories and impressive new skills with family and friends, and to dine on our own creations.
