7 4 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I have been more delighted – it was truly like nothing I have ever experienced before. Spending quality time together, Jordana and I unwound on the intimate terrace with an outdoor traditional Thai massage in an unparalleled setting. Relaxing side-by-side with a soothing footbath and scrub with gentle aromas of lavender sea salt was a wonderfully calming and rejuvenating experience to share and I can’t recommend it enough. At dinnertime, we chose to head to Suhail, the resort’s rooftop bar and grill, for a sunset drink, and to dine on the finest grills and seafood whilst taking in sweeping views of the starlit dunes. The menu features delectable dishes, of which I opted for the symphony of Omani lobster and scallops complemented by a red curry coconut ice cream – a must try. Other signatures include the trilogy of lamb, fine cuts from the grill such as the 1kg tomahawk steak, and organic Irish salmon fillet, as well as Jordana’s choice of Fine de Claire oysters. At lunch, Al Waha, the all-day dining restaurant offers Middle Eastern and international delights. Featuring an exquisite buffet, we took great pleasure in interacting with world class chefs while they prepared our dishes in an open, live kitchen. We loved sampling authentic flavours such as Emirati pancakes for breakfast, or koftas, steaks and seafood cooked to our taste at the live grill station for dinner. Ghadeer, the poolside restaurant, offers two different ambiences – a relaxed atmosphere during the day, and dinner by candlelight at night, with delectable
