S IMPLY T IME I naugurated back in 1991, the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genève (SIHH) has ever since been regarded as the world’s most prestigious event in luxury watchmaking. This is where horologists congregate to behold the latest mind-boggling creations and to grasp a sense of where the watch world is heading next, anticipating future developments and stylistic directions. Held at the Palexpo in Geneva every January, it is a highpoint of the year for the cast of 30 exhibiting brands and visitors alike. By creating a refined and sophisticated environment and gathering together some of the world’s finest watchmaking brands, SIHH has triumphed in 27 editions as the centre stage for emerging trends and a powerful voice in the watch industry. More than fifteen thousand visitors converged on Geneva for this extraordinary week as it became the world capital of watchmaking.
