Around the corner, the Dior suite offers sophisticated Parisian glamour. Taking inspiration from the Dior ateliers in Paris, the 12th floor suite features the traditional Dior palette in a serene and sophisticated range of muted, neutral colours including subtle and warm greys, shades of pink and white with whimsical accents and glamorous statement pieces throughout. Luxurious haute couture-inspired fabrics are used throughout, such as lace, tulle and metallic leather, and upon entering the suite, guests instantly recognise the signature Dior ‘whispering’ grey in the foyer. There are also theMaison’s signature bows on the entryway wall sconces and cannage pattern on top of the TV media unit in the bedroom, inspired by the canned seat bottoms of the Napoleon III chairs Christian Dior used in his showroom. The dining room includes a dramatic chainmail chandelier hanging overhead and an expansive map of Paris on the wall, while quintessential Louis XVI-style furniture and a signature watercolour painting by Bil Donovan – artist and fashion illustrator named Dior Beauty’s first Artist-in-Residence in 2009 – draws the eye in the living room. Both the Tiffany Suite and the Presidential Suite have been conceived by renowned interior designer Richard Mishaan. Reimagined as a sumptuous collector’s suite, the Presidential Suite is a place where the sophisticated global luxury traveller surrounds himself with the art and treasures of his travels. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing Fifth Avenue, 55th Street and Central Park views, it houses a spa-style bathroom, Jacuzzi tub and private sitting area foyer. Famous for being Manhattan’s finest hang-out, it is a globetrotter’s destination in the heart of the Big Apple serving up craftsmanship, heritage and a golden era of branding.
