2 1 1 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I It’s clear to see where the iconic tower got its name from. Overlooking the contemporary Pérez Art Museum Miami, Museum Park, the soon-to-be- opened Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science, the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts and the American Airlines Arena, the 62-storey residential tower is viewed by the developers as being an additional museum in Museum Park. Designed with museum-quality detail and finishes – such as Poliform, Lualdi and Gaggenau – it is a fitting final contribution to architecture by the woman known for designing eye-catching cultural institutions around the world. Containing only 83 residential units ranging from 4,600 square feet to over 10,000 square feet, including a two-storey duplex penthouse, four townhouses, eight full-floor residences and 70 half-floor units, space is one of the number one luxuries of the design. Co-developer Louis Birdman says, “Most often, our buyers were first attracted to One ThousandMuseum because Zaha Hadid designed the building. Buyers are then drawn to the exclusive nature of the tower and how large the residences are.” Its staggering array of amenities is also a key feature, from faucets by Dornbracht to refrigerators by Sub- Zero, German interior illumination concept by apure with design by Porsche Design Studios, to custom doors by Lualdi with Valli & Valli’s Duemilacinque series handles designed by Zaha Hadid. Every square inch of this iconic tower has been carefully crafted to reflect the premium lifestyle of its ultra-high-net- worth inhabitants. “The range of amenities designed by Zaha Hadid herself include a well-appointed lobby and business centre, a private spa and fitness centre, an outdoor pool and sundeck, as well as an Aquatic Centre & Sky Lounge at the top of the building that will house a space for events, a private cinema and dining room for secluded entertaining,” says Birdman. “One Thousand Museum is also the only residential tower in Miami to have a planned helipad at the crown of the building for the most exclusive access, as well as being the only residential tower to have a planned bank-quality vault on premises.” The tower, which is currently halfway complete at the 31st floor, is around 55 percent sold. “Our buyers are a global collection of ultra-high-net-worth individuals; we currently have buyers from over 18 countries of origin,” says Birdman. “Our typical buyer has multiple residences around the world, and is considered a collector who wants the best of the best, seeking out unique, collectible architecture.”
