A Swiss manufacture and part of the prestigious Richemont group, Vacheron Constantin watches are collected, treasured and admired by luxury watch fans all over the world. With the latest Patrimony Collection Excellence Platine, the brand has created another horological classic that is dedicated to their many collectors. The key phrase for watches in this collection is ‘Crafted for Eternity’ as they are created in 950 platinum – a truly noble material that will never rust nor ever need to be varnished. The instantly affecting grey colour plays with light and is the embodiment of sheer luxury. Vacheron Constantin has been offering collectors the ultimate expression of fine watchmaking for the last 11 years with the Collection Excellence Platine concept, summarised as exceptional watches in 950 platinum, issued in limited series and ranging from the simplest to the most complicated models. Aside from the platinum case, other family traits are a sublime, sand-blasted platinum dial – a masterclass in sober elegance – a secret Pt950 signature between 4 and 5 o’clock, 18-carat white gold hands, hour-markers and a pearl minute track. The watch is shown in perfect relief by being mounted on a deep navy blue alligator leather strap, hand-stitched with silk and platinum thread, and features a polished half Maltese cross-shaped platinum buckle. The movement at the heart of this understated masterpiece is Vacheron Constantin’s principal manually wound with small seconds calibre – the proprietary calibre 4400 AS, which can be lovingly observed through the sapphire crystal caseback. It is a Hallmark of Geneva certified mechanism, boasting the high level of finishing a watch of this quality deserves. The watch will be offered in a limited edition of 150 individually numbered pieces, with the owner’s corresponding number engraved on the reverse.
