Simply Abu Dhabi XXVII

From performance to functionality, there are significant features that position the S6 in a class of her own. One of the key features is the Aerostairs, a custom- engineered platform the width of the transom that can extend the swim platform, be lowered below the waves to act as a beach club water ladder, or raised up for easy boarding. Inspired by WWII-era Supermarine Spitfire wings, they are connected to a height-adjustable passerelle stowed within the superstructure tail (and deployed automatically) for safe boarding and disembarking from the quayside or mothership. When the passageway is not in use, the space between the two sunbeds can be in filled to create a large sun lounger. The superstructure tail itself is a prominent feature of the S6; it is the section of the yacht that sits above the engines and has been engineered in composite to lift to reveal the stunning, shiny chrome engine bay below. The first V12 design, launched in 2013, featured the iconic Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 in reconditioned form. Now, the S6 combines twin MTU V10 2000 M96 engines and a Kamewa waterjet propulsion system which will ensure the S6 delivers sporty performance out on the open water, riding on a hull developed by British studio BMT Nigel Gee. In addition, the tender garage allows the Aeroboat S6 to carry a 3.8m RIB or a pair of Jet Skis, while the cockpit will be offered in hardtop, bimini or open guises. As with the exterior space, the interior has been carefully planned to maximise relaxation and enjoyment in privacy. Strong focus has been given to delivering good headroomwithin the galley and shower room, while the owner’s lounge – a private cocoon furnished to the highest standard – is the main entertainment space below deck. During the day, this space offers comfortable seating in a long U-shaped formation, but when required, it converts into a double suite that can be separated for privacy and comfort from the rest of the yacht. A second single cabin is located amidships on the port side with a Pullman for crew use; it can also be used as a guest space, depending on requirements.
