4 7 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I The G650ER is also the company’s flagship, and the world’s longest-range business jet, providing outstanding mission flexibility and going farther faster than any other business aircraft flying today. Combined, the G650 and the G650ER hold more than 60 city-pair records and can both traverse the world in practically one stop. Powered by Rolls-Royce engines, the G650 and G650ER travel at speeds up to Mach 0.925, more than nine-tenths the speed of sound, and can fly far above airline-traffic congestion and adverse weather, resulting in smoother flights and fewer delays. In 2015, the G650 was awarded the 2014 Robert J. Collier Trophy, the most prestigious aviation award in North America, in recognition of the aircraft’s “significant technological advancements in aircraft performance, cabin comfort and safety”. Gulfstream’s newest family of aircraft, the G500 and G600, are in production and flight testing, and should be available for customer deliveries in 2017 and 2018, respectively. The two new models usher in the next generation of aviation with new standards in cabin comfort and productivity, speed, environmental efficiency and safety, offering the industry’s first application of active control sidesticks and its highest integration of touchscreen technology in the flight deck. These aircraft were created in collaboration with customer feedback, a practice that shapes Gulfstream’s product development programme and extends to its interiors.
