1 1 0 S I M P LY A B U DH A B I Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore 25th Anniversary Editions F avoured by myriad celebrities and watch connoisseurs all over the world, the Royal Oak Offshore is the ultra-masculine iteration of the widely admired and desired Royal Oak watch. Turning 25 in 2018, Audemars Piguet is celebrating by presenting avid AP watch lovers with three anniversary versions to mark the milestone. Ready to be launched at the prestigious Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie Genève in Geneva in January 2018, the 25th editions will include a recreation of the original self- winding model from 1993, plus a Chronograph Tourbillon in stainless steel or 18-carat pink gold, each one limited to 50 pieces. The two tourbillon models take inspiration from the previous Royal Oak Offshore Tourbillon Chronograph (26388PO and 26288OR), and have an entirely redesigned movement. The new in-house calibre 2947 includes a seven-day power reserve. Over the years, the Royal Oak Offshore has been available in an array of materials, from the perennial favourite stainless steel to the more exclusive and expensive versions in titanium, gold and platinum. The 25th anniversary adds ceramic instead of metal and rubber for the crown and push-pieces.
