They continue to investigate structural and constructive themes that support the essence of architecture in each work, and the recent completion of Muraba Residences Palm Jumeirah stands to further strengthen the UAE’s quick- paced and globally recognised movement towards becoming a hub for design and architectural excellence. Following the celebrated win of their 2017 Pritzker Prize, both RCR Arquitectes andMuraba Residences now join an elite club – that of Pritzker winner-designed buildings in the Middle East – rubbing shoulders with Jean Nouvel’s newly opened Louvre in Abu Dhabi, the late Dame Zaha Hadid’s Sheikh Zayed Bridge, Frank Gehry’s Guggenheim and Sir Norman Foster’s Index Tower. “The project perfectly reflects the vision that we had right from the start, and we are proud to be part of a team that can once again place Dubai on the world’s architectural map with a Pritzker- designed building,” says Ibrahim Al Ghurair.
