The Emirates are known as one of the most tolerant societies in the world, a testament to Baba Zayed’s vision of peaceful co-existence, learning, and prosperity. He taught us that tolerance is the key to the nation’s vitality, and proof of its ability to continuously advance and progress. Sheikh Zayed truly understood human nature, and knew that a culture of tolerance could unite us by emphasising the common humanity that links us together, regardless of religion, colour, language, origin or traditions. “We should be proud of our religion, because Islam is against all forms of racism,” taught Baba Zayed. “To stereotype a fellow human being is to deprive him of his humanity”.
