14 SIMPLY ABU DHABI Right at the heart of the Saadiyat Cultural District is the Zayed National Museum which showcases the story of the unification of the United Arab Emirates through the life and times of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan – father of the nation. It also charts the more recent social and economic transformation of the Emirates. Elevated at the highest point overlooking the rest of the cultural district, it will be a place where visitors can learn all about the history of the region and its cultural connections across the world.
