There are a range of villas available to suit every taste, from Lagoon Villas that offer panoramic views of the island and the ocean, through to Beach and Ocean Front Villas or Deluxe options nestled amid the lush vegetation on the Eastern shores of Coco PalmDhuni Kolhu. Whatever the choice, they are the perfect Maldivian hideaway. As well as traditional techniques and materials used for the villas, the same approach applies to cooking on the island. Much of our fruit, vegetables, spices, herbs and orchids are grown in Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu’s own garden. The team there is also dedicated to preserving native skills and supporting the region’s economy, from showcasing Maldivian handicrafts to sourcing supplies from local businesses. The eco-oriented philosophy touches everything at Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu, from the cuisine prepared to the activities organised for guests. It is the ultimate “no shoes, no news” haven and allows guests to genuinely disconnect should they choose to. The everyday distractions of multiple screens do not vie for attention here. Internet access is limited, and true escapism is valued here. TVs take second place to dolphin watching, or an excursion to a local village, or maybe sunset fishing or a few hours spent with the myriad marine life snorkelling or diving. The resort has a PADI Dive Centre run by Dive Ocean and a Water Sports Centre. In addition to having some of the richest dive sites in the Maldives, Hanifaru Bay in Baa Atoll is one of the few places in the world where whale sharks congregate and also where the largest gatherings of manta rays occur.
