Through the link between the object and the owner, heavy with personal memories, deep emotions and, at times, superstitions, the object becomes the agent – or subject – of a life. When a piece is completed, how do you feel? Are you sad to let it go? Absolutely not. I don’t feel the piece belongs to me; in fact, it belongs to the woman who created it with my help. My absolute dream is to finally see it worn and loved. That is when it truly comes alive. What is the most complicated part of the whole process and why? To be honest with you, there aren’t any. The process is well- designed and thought out. The people involved are highly professional and skilled, from the creation to the manufacture. We just need to follow the process carefully and keep an eye on times of production for it to remain flawless. What is the best memory you have of a client seeing the completed piece? What are their feelings and reactions in seeing the final custom-made piece? There is nothing better than the moment where it is finally touched and worn by the client – that very moment when the object becomes alive and so do the eyes of the client; they sparkle with emotion and gratitude. It is a special thing for me to witness, it is magic: pure joy.
