RALPH & RUSSO L ondon-based haute couture brand Ralph & Russo is expanding rapidly and plans to open both in New York and in Dubai soon. Last year the brand celebrated its 10th anniversary. It was founded by Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo as a couture brand and Ralph & Russo has is now one of the most appreciated high-end luxury brands in the world, commanding authority and prestige. They were the first British brand to be invited by the Federation National de la Haute Couture et de la Mode in Paris to present their haute couture collection during couture season and their rise up the fashion ranks has been constant, raising many eyes wide. Now their shows have become a must-see appointment during fashion week season and everyone, especially the buyers, ensure they are present. Last September, when the designer duo started their ready to wear collection, they presented in London where everything had started 10 years earlier. Now, for fall, Tamara and Michael presented their new fall/winter 2018 prêt-à-porter collection with an intimate gathering at their Paris showroom at number 29 of Rue François 1er. The brand’s effortless and timeless elegance has been adapted for the modern woman and her multifaceted lifestyle, creating unique combinations and stylistic twists that stun with their elegance. The collection comprises 35 looks and includes plongé leather separates, multi-use biker jackets, off-the-shoulder gowns and majestic coats. Asymmetric knits and open-fronted cascading bouquet skirts are also a major theme of the collection, adding a feminine and modern appeal. Cashmere, jacquard silk, satin, organza and leather are the key fabrics used for the Ralph & Russo fall/winter collection. Shimmering ice-pastels, gold, black and white are combined to create an exuberant play of tones and combination possibilities.
