From kitchens and bathrooms to libraries and home offices, each commission is still handcrafted in the company’s Devizes workshop. Smallbone’s talented team of joiners – there are now 120 master craftsmen and apprentices, including three generations of the same family, in the Devizes workshop – have produced elegant, sought- after pieces, exclusively tailored to the client’s taste and environment, and finished in their colour palette of choice. From concept to completion, all of Smallbone’s commissions are a close collaboration between the client and design team. Taking a completely bespoke approach, Smallbone starts by learning about the client’s lifestyle and how they use their space before even putting pen to paper.
