Entitled “Confetti” and conceived in 14 encrusted, rich and empowering looks, the collection mixes the bridal spirit with a more daywear/party look such as tailored suits and draped bodice jumpsuits. in italy, where August has lived in Siena (Tuscany), confetti are the typical sugared almond sweets that married couples eat during their wedding and offer to their guests. Embellished with crystals and embroideries, Getty’s collection is appealing for its classic inspiration and approach to the world of couture but at the same time giving that pop/modern/young vibe (especially the sensual and sexy silhouette) that their young creator, who lives and creates everything in sunny Los Angeles, has seen and imagines as modern haute couture. The colours of the collection are white and silver and more devoted to a younger clientele.
